About the Artist

Born and raised in a small town in Wisconsin, Jake Steinle is an eclectic street photographer based in Chicago who brings an exciting mix of big city life, travel and history into his versatile photography.

Always toting a camera, Jake has an uncanny ability to translate unmediated chance encounters into styled pieces of art. Whether it's an unexpected rendezvous with an abandoned bike in Morocco or walking through an iconic piazza in Italy, he transmits the artistic experience back to his fans candidly.

Jake believes great photos represent something different to each viewer and strives to provide sincere images which then allow his audience to apply their own story and meaning to them. He's inspired and influenced by his favorite photographers Henri Cartier-Bresson, Walker Evans, Brassaï, André Kertész, Robert Frank, and Robert Doisneau.
